Hi, I’m Dr. Kylie Melton – And I Was in Your Shoes Not Too Long Ago.

I’m a board-certified physician and aesthetics educator, and after years of experience (and a few bad lip filler experiences of my own), I knew there had to be a better way to learn how to inject lips.

Before I ever picked up a syringe, I was the patient—trusting that my injector knew what they were doing. But what I got was overfilled, unbalanced lips that didn’t feel like me at all. It shook my confidence and stuck with me for years.

Once I transitioned into aesthetics, I carried that experience with me. I wanted to understand lips fully—not just how to inject, but how to assess, plan, and create results that looked good from every angle and aged well over time.

So I took trainings. A lot of them. Some were helpful, but most were overwhelming, vague, or focused on techniques that didn’t make sense for real patients.

Eventually, through hands-on experience and years of refining my process, I found a way to approach lips that not only works—but feels natural, safe, and easy to teach.

What’s Inside The art of lips and lower face?

Module 1 – Introduction and Why?

In this first module, we’ll set the stage for the entire course. You’ll learn why mastering lips is essential—not just for achieving natural results, but for building patient trust and standing out as an injector.

Module 2 – Lower Face Anatomy Made Simple

This module breaks down the key anatomy of the lips and lower face—focusing only on what’s relevant for safe, effective filler treatments. You’ll learn the foundational structures, danger zones, and how anatomy guides technique, all explained in a way that’s easy to understand and apply right away.

Module 3 – Consultation

In this module, I’ll walk you through my full consultation process—from the first conversation to setting clear expectations. You’ll learn how I guide patients, communicate treatment plans, and create a sense of trust before ever picking up a syringe. Simple, structured, and easy to adapt to your own practice.

Module 4 – Assessment

In this module, you’ll watch me evaluate the lips and surrounding lower face in real time. I’ll show you what I’m looking for, how I identify volume needs or structural support, and the thought process behind planning treatment. This is where theory meets real-life decision-making.

Module 5 – Risk and Postcare Discussion

In this module, you’ll learn how to clearly and professionally explain the risks of lip filler—including rare but serious complications like vascular occlusion—without creating fear or overwhelm. I’ll also walk you through the exact post-care instructions I give to ensure your patients know what to expect and when to reach out. Clear communication here builds trust, sets boundaries, and protects both you and your patient.

Module 6 – Types of Lip Fillers

In this module, I’ll share the specific filler products I use most often for lips here in the U.S.

Module 7 - Numbing

Learn how to chose between topical and injectable numbing, along with my preferred products for numbing.

Module 8 - Injection

Follow along as we treat the lips and lower face of our first model. You’ll see the full process—from assessment to injection technique—along with real-time explanations of what I’m doing and why. A clear, practical look at how everything comes together in treatment.
